Derek has been involved in the transport industry for over 29 years.
His career started at East Lancashire Coachbuilders as an apprentice
coachbuilder, from there he had a short spell within the rail industry
before moving to McKenna Brothers when they became agents for
Mobitec back in 2000. Derek moved to Wrightbus as National Account
Manager in 2004 but returned back to McKenna Brothers as a Director
where he deals with the day to day running of the company.
Derek spends most of his spare time involved in football, he coaches
an Under 10 team and he is currently studying for his UEFA B Coaching
Licence. He also enjoys good food, wine and is still trying to get
his golfing handicap down with very little success.
